This class is structured to teach intermediate climbers proper clipping, rope management, and belay techniques for lead climbing with a mechanical and/or passive device. The client must be proficient in Top Rope climbing and belaying before taking this class. Participants must be 13 years of age or older who can climb V0 (5.9). If individuals opt to “test-out” of the Fundamentals of Top Rope class, they must show up 30 minutes early, fully prepared to demonstrate proficiency by passing the top rope belaying test procedure.
